The M2 encoder provides multiturn absolute position feedback through EnDat 2.1. It is important to verify the drive interface because M2 is not directly interchangeable with S1, S2 or M1 feedback systems.
The P shaft code identifies a keyway according to DIN 6885-1 with a shaft sealing ring. The key, coupling, alignment and permissible radial loading must be checked during installation. The motor does not include a holding brake.
